Hello,
I have a co-worker that asked if I could make a birthday card for her son. Her parents want to get him a mountain bike for his birthday but want him to go pick it out with them so she thought they could give him a card with a mountain bike theme to tell him they are going together to get him a new bike.
Here's the card:
I made the background with distress inks and a sponge. I learned how to make the mountain scene by watching this video: How to Make a Background of Mountains. Pumice stone was used for the mountains and tumbled glass for the sky. I cut out a black frame and the pieces for the bike. I embossed the black bike pieces (except the tire) with a stripe embossing folder. I made the design on the tire with a gold marker. I attached all the bike pieces together, coiled the thin wire around the brads and attached them, and attached the bike to the background.
On the inside, I stamped a simple Happy Birthday.

Pug Card
Hey all,
My friend's husband has a birthday coming up so I asked him what his favorite things are. He said dogs and playing with dogs. They just recently got a pug so I thought I'd make him this cute pug card.
Isn't it just adorable? I love how cute it is. I used the print and cut feature on my Silhouette Cameo for the first time ever too! I used that feature for the coloring and cutting out of the pugs. I cut three windows and the triangle border from a beige like paper. There are perforated lines around the edge of the beige paper as well as all the way around the windows. I then stamped a happy birthday in the center below the pugs.

On the inside of the card I used my Silhouette Sketch pens to write the words "Too far for a HUG so I sent you a pug!" Since I wasn't going to see him on his birthday I thought that fit perfectly.

Guitar Card
Hey all,
My boyfriend's birthday is coming up and he is the hardest person for me to do anything for. He likes to play guitar (although he hasn't played recently) so I made him this card:
I cut circles from brown, black, and white cardstock using my circle cutter. I also cut a circle on the front cover of the card base. I used super thin metal wire that I took from ribbon that I bought from Big Al's a few years ago as the strings of the guitar. I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the white piece on the bottom and the guitar pick. The words on the pick were written with my Silhouette Sketch Pens.
I stamped Happy Birthday through the hole on the card base so that it is seen on the outside and the inside of the card when opened.
Here is the inside:

Triangle Star Card
This is a sad card for me to make. I have a co-worker (the one that I make all the Halloween birthday cards for) that is leaving. 😢😢
I found this Triangle Star Fold card here and I thought it looked interesting so I thought I'd try it.
It really came out pretty nicely. I used brown card stock for the base of the card and then a lighter brown card stock and a marbled paper thing (a new type of paper for me) as the top layer. I added some black gems on the corners of each large triangle.
For the focal point of the card I stamped a bear eating honey (first time I've ever used this image) on white card stock and colored it in. I layered this on top of a brown scalloped circle.
All of the triangles fold out to reveal the message on the inside. I tried to leave lots of space for my co-workers to sign the card and give their farewell wishes.
Sorry for the lighting. I used my Silhouette sketch pens to write the "We will miss you BEARY much!" on the inside triangle.

Iris Folding Card
Hello,
I have always loved how Iris Folding looks so when I saw one for a deer I thought it would be perfect for my co-worker that loves to go hunting. Her favorite color is pink and she conveniently loves pink camouflage.
I tried different ideas for a camouflage background and finally decided to use a Q-tip and 4 colors of distress inks: Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral, Barn Door to color the background paper. I waited for it to dry and then put it into my Silhouette to cut the deer from it. I used brown paper for the body of the deer and a darker brown paper for the antlers.
I stamped a Happy Birthday on a distressed watercolor piece I made (while I was trying to figure out how to do the camouflage background) and layered that on a piece of blue card stock.
As for the inside:
I used the deer cutout from the front and attached it to the inside card. I then stamped a birthday sentiment.
I will be entering these challenges with this card:

Ladybug Card
Hey all,
A birthday card for the teacher assisant in my classroom. She loves ladybugs and the color blue.
I was orignally going to use a red background but I didn't have any red paper.
I used a circle punch to make the ladybug bodies and wings. I stamped the wings using small round stamps that I bought a while back. I hand cut the antennae. I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the leaves.
I embossed the blue paper using a Darice polka dot embossing folder, stamped a simple Happy Birthday and layered it with green and black paper.
For the inside, I found this ladybug saying on google images and used my Silhouette sketch pens to write it. I attached it to a blue background and then that to a black background to match the front of the card.
I am entering these challenges:
Card Mania Challenge - Layer It
Sparkles Monthly Challenges - Happy Birthday

Thanks for checking my card out and have a GREAT day!

Night Owl
Hello,
I needed a card for a co-worker who loves pumpkins and owls. I saw a cute card of owls sitting on a fence on Pinterest and decided to make something like that and put some pumpkins in front of the fence.
Here's the card:
I made the fence by making strips of light brown paper and rounding the edges. I then stamped each one with gathered twigs distress ink and the woodgrain backgorund stamp.
I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the owls and the pumpkins. I then put them together. I also cut out a scalloped circle to make the clouds in the background on the blue paper. I used a circle punch for the moon and white ink to make it look like the moon is glowing.
I attached all the layers and then created the inside:
I used Silhouette Sketch Pens for the words and cut out the orange and blue frames.
I will enter these challenges:
